The staff at the hotel were very friendly and attentive to all guests. The room was tastefully decorated and modern, with a balcony. The pool was clean, and there was convenient on-site parking. The location was nice and perfect, with easy access to local stores.

The room was nicely decorated with beautiful decor and the bathroom was perfectly clean. The staff was excellent and the breakfasts were wonderful with a variety of meats. The location is really close to a hill outside Berchtesgaden, valley, and alpine meadows, offering great views of the hills.

Location was wonderful, staff member Petra made our visit very plesant,she was so efficient and courtious.The dinner menue was excellent,but the breakfast buffet was disappointing.

Not well sign posted,a bit difficult to find,but the views when one got there were superb. The bedrooms were a bit dated and needed to be freshened up. Apeculiar aspect was on Tuesday morning we were informed that the hotel resturant would be closed that night,no problem we said we will dine elsewhere;so it was quite a surprise on our return shortly after nine pm, to discover the whole hotel in darkness,and us locked out, we had to ring to be let in,the owner came ,noproblem he said;until we realised the whole place was in darkness and we were bid good night,no question of a coffee or a beer. We felt a bit like children being sent to bed early; we just laughed about it later. Odd though.

This hotel is tucked away in a secluded corner with a stunning view of the surrounding countryside. It is an excellent location for tourists who want to explore many tourist attractions in the area, as it is close to many local shops and the Berchtesgaden area. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with well-equipped facilities. The friendly staff provides impeccable service to ensure guests' privacy and comfort during their stay.

One downside is that it may be difficult to find the hotel without using GPS, as it is located off the beaten path.

The staff was helpful and friendly. Our rooms were comfortable. It is definitely worth the extra money for a balcony view - it is fabulous. There are great hikes just about right out the door. Oberau is convenient to everything that one would want to see in that area. The Hintersee was a bonus place we found.

Closed down a bit early but as long as you have your key it is not a problem.

The location in the mountains is it's best feature. The staff were helpfull and freindlly. The dinner, although of quite limited choice was good and resonably priced.

Very tight limit for dining times ( 1 hour). The bar was closed after our arrival at 9.30 pm ! No public transport, a car is essential.

wonderful hotel that has stunning location in the direct local area. incredible rooms with balcony, stunning views and a really toilet, always very welcoming staff. great breakfast with great views of the hills and meat, for instance, excellent service. the pool area is nice too. everything wonderful.

The staff was always friendly and the location was absolutely stunning, the hotel provided a view that could only be rivalled by the Kelsteinhaus.

The location while amazing...might not be a good idea if you are travelling through the region without a car. The hike up to the hotel would sometimes lead though a 30 percent grade on the road.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hidden gem nestled in the hills near Berchtesgaden. The hotel offers great value for money, with affordable prices that won't break the bank. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the beautifully renovated rooms to the stunning views from the balconies. Speaking of balconies, having a room with a balcony was a real treat. Waking up to the breathtaking view down the valley was simply awe-inspiring. The location of the hotel is also perfect, as it's close enough to Berchtesgaden to explore the town, yet tucked away on the hills for a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and provided top-notch service. And let's not forget about breakfast - a delicious and satisfying meal to start the day right.

All in all, everything was more than okay!
